Variety Show – Mission Trips, Citizenship, and Uncanny Existence

Lack musical ability? Tune to DADGAD and play pentatonic shapes! You too can sound like a bayou mystic!

In this video I discuss a really neat thing somebody did for people and how we can do an even greater thing for the world by being informed citizens.

Then I prattle on a bit about the problems with appeals to emotion and how they obfuscate the truth. I drive the point home by citing the Dhayan airstrike in which US bombs were used by the Saudis to kill 40 children under 15 years old. A citation made to contrast the moral preening on display as regards US vs Soleimani.

I finish up with a ramble about the ucannines of reality and why the hell is everything just so?

July 4th 2018 – Celebrating the Constitution (Vlog)

This Independence Day finds me stumbling across a recounting of a letter Washington wrote home during the Revolutionary War. I use the content of that letter as a springboard to discuss the merits of the revolution, the value of the constitution, and what it means to truly esteem those things.

Celebrations and fireworks are great but true appreciation and real patriotism can only come from the daily informed participation of citizens.

Murica Month – The Art of Citizenship (Vlog)

In which I discuss the merits of preparedness and briefly point to the need to understand that history is ever painted in myriad shades of grey.
