Every once in a while I stumble across some comment calling Putin a: “KGB Thug!”.  Today, a thought I feel worth sharing occurred to me as I once again stumbled across this fragrantly ‘woke’ turd.

Pray tell, o ye butthurtformer Soviet sattelites, McCarthyists, and shitlibs:

Where the hell do you expect countries to get their leaders from?

Isn’t America and the world at large filled with former intelligence and military people at every level?

Didn’t Wernher Von Braun actually operate a concentration camp? (Not entirely sure but it’s not outside the realm of possibility.)

So you can’t even demand that leaders have no former affiliation with troublesome entities.

Are we supposed to pluck people from the ground like turnips. Or is there some ether, where we can pull folks experienced in statecraft and military operations, that are wholly unaffected by the dominant political forces in their region for the past century?

Fuck off.

Note (I repeated a factoid from another YouTuber (CoffeeTalk) “bird flu has 98% or so survival rate) I was unable to confirm this via Google. All I got was survival rate of the virus strains in Korea not of people. I did find a sixty percent mortality rate. That being said I don’t think he’s entirely off the mark because the CDC said the following:
While the risk from Asian H5N1 is low to most people, CDC recommends general precautions.
Sporadic human infections with Asian H5N1 virus have occurred in other countries, primarily in Asia and Africa. Most human infections with Asian H5N1 viruses in other countries have occurred after prolonged and close contact with infected sick or dead birds.
No animal or human infections with Asian H5N1 virus have occurred in the United States.

TFS (The Fractal Standard) is a daily show that I decided to launch today.

Summary

Beer contains a wide variety of helpful things. Things like the bitter acid, humulone, which offers hope for fighting respiratory infections. Bitter acids are also generally known for anti-inflammatory effects.

In other news there is only a 7% correlation between GDP and the S&P 500! We’re literally running on hot air! But it’s working? For now…?

So, I’m just chillin listening to some Rogan pocast and boom suddenly Russia is an epicenter of pessimism!

I, of course must respond, as the sheer volume and frequency of random fingerwagging and ignorance, towards my country of origin grows exponentially!

As far as I remember there was more drunken kabob roasting then training of Ursine Commandos.

Sometimes when folks get to know me and find out that I am originally from Russia they ask me geopolitical questions.

And of course I hear the news every sodding day.

News like this:

 

…Which only tangentially touches on Russia but nontheless makes me raise an eyebrow like so:

Russia has an interest in the Ukraine?

Working against our efforts?

Excuse me. But, I’m Russian American with a Ukranian great grandfather (i.e. the countries are geographicaly and ethnically closely related).

Your efforts in the region are about as natural and warranted as the Russians building up a strong military presence in Mexico while funding La Raza (See Azov Battalion). Do you know anything about the region?

What is it with Americans and their psychotic fear of a sparsely populated but self sufficient country that doesn’t want to become a NATO vasal state? I get being even handed but this level of nervous toedipping into the idea that maybe the demonized side aren’t really demons seems to be peculiarly strong regarding Russia.

Being an American citizen raised here since a young age I don’t have any particular patriotism for Russia. But I do have a perspective that makes me ask what the fuck is going 9000+ times a day.
