TFS 45 – Eastern Europe, My Politics, Bob Lazar Body Language, and Funny Hats

Ok, so first the lineup:

0 – 8 min : The why and how of my interest in Eastern European politics. With some discussion of my strict originalist Constitutionalism. Why global tensions are a threat to that position etc.

8 – 9:12 min : Talk about this Bob Lazar body language analysis video:

9:12 – end: I practice ‘social courage’ by wearing a funny hat and discuss the result

In this installment of the stream of consciousness show from my shitposting channel, I get into why I give a fuck about Eastern Europe.

Why should I as a United States citizen, homeowner, and patriot give a fuck about a bunch of bickering Gypsies and Slavs?

Ok, so I’m originally from Russia. But I’m pretty fucking comfortable and have basically been marinated in Americana since I was eight years old. The family I was adopted into having roots in the country going back to before the Civil War.

So, why do I get so up in arms about nations that will probably never be able to fully adopt the enlightenment principles I hold dear?

Well, as global economic tensions rise and converge with tribal tensions exacerbated by corporate media and powerful business interests THAT DOESN’T BODE WELL FOR STABILITY.

And stability is precisely what’s required for us to be able to pursue those things higher up on Maslow’s hierarchy.

Besides even gopniks will eventually crave a white picket fence and 2.5 kids who suck at piano. But, that craving will be somewhat dampened if people that claim to represent us keep being a global bar fly and playing the game of ‘let’s you and him fight.’

Dude! This Bob Lazar shit has me losing my mind. He’s so believable. What do you think alien life/technology/time travel mean for metaphysics?! Mind is so fucking blown. Gonna steal all his shit and use it in story after story.

Heard Peter Hitchens mention social courage so I decided to practice some by wearing a funny hat in public. It’s hilarious how people go around with half shaved Skrillex haircuts, purple hitler hair, piercings, lumberjack beards, and pants that showcase their HooHah but the minute you wear a funny hat YOU’RE THE FREAK!

This too is its own tribalism.

I suppose I should explain how exactly wearing a funny hat is ‘social courage.’ People give you shitty looks. This makes you uncomfortable. You start to question yourself. If you’re used to doing this then you will have less trouble having necessary but difficult conversations.

Aright, well there we have it there was some synopsis that happened there.

Hope ya enjoyed.

Cheers!

Russians in your latte? …more likely than you think!

As far as I remember there was more drunken kabob roasting then training of Ursine Commandos.

Sometimes when folks get to know me and find out that I am originally from Russia they ask me geopolitical questions.

And of course I hear the news every sodding day.

News like this:

…Which only tangentially touches on Russia but nontheless makes me raise an eyebrow like so:

Russia has an interest in the Ukraine?

Working against our efforts?

Excuse me. But, I’m Russian American with a Ukranian great grandfather (i.e. the countries are geographicaly and ethnically closely related).

Your efforts in the region are about as natural and warranted as the Russians building up a strong military presence in Mexico while funding La Raza (See Azov Battalion). Do you know anything about the region?

What is it with Americans and their psychotic fear of a sparsely populated but self sufficient country that doesn’t want to become a NATO vasal state? I get being even handed but this level of nervous toedipping into the idea that maybe the demonized side aren’t really demons seems to be peculiarly strong regarding Russia.

Being an American citizen raised here since a young age I don’t have any particular patriotism for Russia. But I do have a perspective that makes me ask what the fuck is going 9000+ times a day.

Some Clarifications

Ukraine crisis: Inside the Mariupol base of the ...
Now I myself am a fan of runes (for nerdy Led Zeppelin reasons) but that my friends is not progressive symbology. It’s just so damned funny to see the dementedly PC western media hype this as some sort of ‘people’s resistance.’

In my last vlog I talked about the conflict between Ukraine and Russia. I feel some clarifications are in order.

I decided to comment on this because as a Russian-American with Ukrainian ancestory (my great grandfather is from Kiev)  the coverage of the issue by the western press and western perceptions in general seem incredibly stupid to me. Stupid in a dangerous way.

I’m not operating under the impression that I’m going to solve anything but sitting here listening to this drivel is driving me mental.

So here is my position on this issue presented as a set of bullet points.

1) The Ukraine should be independent.

2) The Ukraine should not be used by NATO and the EU as leverage against Russia.

3) Russian and Ukrainian history is closely linked. (See Kievan Rus)

4) Countries and unions that decry nationalist and populist sentiments reflexively supporting robust Ukrainian nationalism to the point of ignoring NAZI antics (Azov Battalion etc) is really tragically hypocritical.

5) The nature of the relationship between the Ukraine and Russia is similar to that of England and Wales. These nations share similar histories, borders, and (in the case of Russia and Ukraine) very similar ethnic makeup. So when NATO puppets and opportunists stir peoples sentiments  into violence and other provocative behaviors, a military response is unfortunately necessary. Such a response is not an invasion anymore than England putting down a contingent of hypothetical Welsh ultranationalists with dreams of EU money.

6) War is dumb. War between the Ukraine and Russia is even dumber.

7) I know very little about Putin or his policies however I do not trust anything the established Western press has to say about him. This is merely a reaction to events based on my own background and understanding of the region. I am open to other interpretations except of course the insane ones being pushed by countries currently bombing and drone striking goat herds in more places than I can name.

8) I have not been back to Russia since 1998. I am a naturalized United States citizen. I am in strong favor of more or less traditional forms of Constitutional government as they have been practiced in this democratic republic. I feel that the same background (Russian/Ukrainian/Polish) that makes me feel impelled to comment on this may also be viewed by some uncharitable persons as questionable. Hence this last bullet point.

Thanks for reading.  Here is Fred Reed on the matter :
