State: Uh huh…

MMM. Just shelled out eight hundred dollars for some plumbing work and found out that there’s another significant portion of my house that’s water damaged. To those of you who have been here a while, you may recall that I recently dwelt in hotels for the span of about four months while the guest bathroom was entirely rebuilt.

This time it seems that my kitchen and perhaps my master bedroom will have to be rebuilt. The tile in the kitchen masked the problem…only tip off was the wee bit of wetness where the tile met the hallway carpet.

The former plumbers hadn’t mentioned any of this (aside general warnings about pinholes) and the fellas I had out here who are kinda a big deal in the area almost gave up the search for the leak. Apparently, my crawlspace is sheer noneucledian mysticism and full of daft HVAC ductwork.

Uncertain as to whether or not my insurance company will cover another large claim. But, I’m a positive Scotch infused fella and even if they don’t I’m sorta looking forward to learn how to do this shit myself.

I was raised by a senior citizen and never taught shit. So if I have to rebuild a major part of my home that gives me ample lisence to swing my dick around. I like to swing my dick around.

Anywho, I haven’t the time or more honestly the inclination to create anything resembling worth so I leave you with links to some pretty badass articles I was going to try to fashion a ramble out of:

Um…

I’ve been dwelling in a hotel for the past month, probably two. There has also been the business of tending to family. Due to repairs I’m still two to three weeks away from having full use of my house.

I think I’m out of the dizzying funk of it all and will be posting regularly soon.

Thanks for sticking with me through two or so months of static.

That’s about how I feel. No need for poetics.

Plumbing Woes

BaronVonDouchebag Esquire III
Believe it or not I was born in 1989.  But in Moscow where time and fashion goes to die.

My funky psychedelic 1977 open concept house has even funkier plumbing. A flange leak and several pinholes on the coppers went undetected long enough to rot the floor in the hallway bathroom. I’m currently staying at a hotel while insurance sends out the mitigation squad and the whole bloody floor comes out. Fortunately (thanks to Opa’s military insurance) I think we’ll be out only a couple o grand.

There’s quite a story surrounding this which I may or may not share in the near future.

This besides the ever present procrastination and the mighty UPS whip (Fedex no longer has a contract with Amazon for ground…so we now have their volume, joy) are why my posts have yet again slowed to a trickle.

There’s a bit of a gap in some of my projects. This is just a reminder that I haven’t forgotten. Thanks for your patience.

I know that there’s plenty of great content from other folks. So I’m not pretending like everybody is waiting with baited breath for my uploads. But I don’t like to leave things unfinished. I especially don’t like leaving people hanging in the middle of stories because I’ve been on the receiving end of that.

Anywho…

This coming week….

I intend to…

New Sketch of Sam Monroe Sections

New Sections of She Sells Seahells  (Researching historical sailing info is a drag.)

New Parts of ‘Free Car’ (audio-story)

Fresh Poems

Fresh Vlogs

As of this post I have ten minutes of rendering time left for a new section of that audio story I started yesterday. Not anything amazing but I find it fun and hope you will too.

Rush Job

94 Pound Beefcake - Video Clips - South Park Studios UK ...

I’m going to try to write a section or two of the Sketch of Sam Monroe in the next five hours. It is 9:32 PM here in the dirty south that means I’m going to be up till three cause I did promise. Reason I haven’t started earlier is Creatine Monohydrate. I’m currently trying to gain a little mass before peak season at my day job starts and also cause fun. Those of you aware of whey, creatine, and what happens when you use them along with exercise as intended know that I have had a shitty day (7 egg/beef tacos didn’t help). LOL. Sorry for that but its the truth.  If I fail I’ll post tomorrow and I also plan to write again on Tuesday.

I think what makes the most sense as minimal production deadlines for an ongoing series that requires research is to split it up into three/four day intervals. The Tuesday/Thursday model I was using is good for physical stuff like cardio days but produces sparse ass results.

Allright time to make some mint tea and get writing.

Fractal Radio | Episode 22 – The Sketch of Sam Monroe Update and Ancient Civilizations Ramble

Just some updates about a new posting schedule for The Sketch of Sam Monroe (a novel in progress you can find on my website). Also, I go into a bit of a super informal ramble about one of the themes in that story: ancient civilizations.

Content Plan for the Week (9/12 – 9/16)

I don’t know if I’ll release these weekly but the past few days have been busy so I want to make sure that I at least put forth the effort to post. I believe in quality over quantity but I also believe that you can’t really develop quality without quantity. Tomorrow will definitely see a new section of The Sketch of Sam Monroe since I haven’t missed a T day (Tuesday or Thursday) in at least half a year.

 Potential Vlog Topics

– Amazon in general, and Amazon’s Bans of Roosh V’s Books

– Further analysis of Berners-Lee’s projects and internet freedom in general

– Further analysis of policing in the United States and Axon’s SaaS service (Axon is formerly taser)

– Social commentary on guru culture, get rich quick schemes, vague notions like ‘success’, education, and the weird weird world of modern ‘romance’

Potential Essays

– Global Warming/Climate Change and the issues this spotlight hoggin diva obscures

– Indie Writers Workflow

– More on the importance of sleep

Other Stuff

  • Getting back into Post Grunge Punks Webcomic
  • Further Developing the Artie Steam Punk Webcomic
  • More original music or classics recitals

I know it’s lame to post plans instead of actual content but I’m super pressed for time this week.  I might try to this at the start of every week to give everyone an idea of things they might wanna stay tuned for.  It’s  a good way to light a fire under my own ass. Or maybe just a bunch of false promises. Time will tell.

I appreciate each and every subscriber. Thanks for reading and commenting.

New Distro!

The lack of content today is due to geekery but I guess I can turn that into content…so!

Just installed Linux Mint 19 ‘Tara’ on my old 2014 HP Pavilion Slimline system. Works swimmingly thus far, sleeker design, and the snapshot feature is nice.

Going to be putting out some Essays, another Sketch of Sam Monroe (tomorrow), and definitely doing some vlogging about environmental issues and such.

Check out Matt Hartley’s take!
